It eliminates the high cost and waste of using disposable AA batteries, and easily pays for itself over the life of the camera.  It is charged via a USB-C cable, and is also features a 12-Volt power port for connection of the Tactacam Gen 2 REVEAL Solar Panel Kit. The Gen 2 version expands capacity over the Gen 1 version.

Note:  The 12V power port, which the solar panel cable connects to, only powers the camera itself and does not recharge the battery.  The battery will remain unused unless the solar panel battery, or other external 12V source becomes depleted.  The camera will then automatically switch to the onboard battery.
