The RIX Tactical RENV-B is an advanced dual-tube night vision binocular system which incorporates high-resolution thermal imaging to create a powerful fusion system. It offers reliable white phosphor Gen 2+ performance combined with a 640 x 512 thermal sensor plus high quality optics and features.
The dual articulating design of the RENV-B allows users to operate the unit with either one or both eyes. This is useful when operating a weapon mounted optic or other passive aiming device while maintaining night vision or fusion imaging on one side only. This also allows the user to stow the pods comfortably against the helmet for a lower profile while in a vehicle or where head space may be limited. Individual pods are powered off when articulated to eliminate backspash and protect the image intensifier tubes.
The RENV-B is comprised of a simple, minimalist design with intuitive controls. A tactile control knob located on the front of the unit controls power on / off / illumination / gain functions, and buttons on top of the unit control thermal functions. Interpupillary adjustments allow the user to effortlessly set IP stop distances to their preferences, and a durable aluminum dovetail provides secure attachment to the user’s helmet mount.
Housing and Optics Information
The RENV-B is constructed of ultralight, yet high-strength reinforced polymer material. Power is supplied by an external power pack utilizing dual 18650 rechargeable batteries and can operate for up to 8 hours in fusion mode, or up to 60 hours in night vision only mode.
Image Intensifier Tube Information
The RIX Tactical RENV-B is available with the following image intensifier tube options:
- NNVT Super Gen 2 Low Light White Phosphor (1400-1600 FOM)
- NNVT Super Gen 2 Low Light White Phosphor (1800-2000 FOM)
Image intensifier tubes are meticulously selected for a clean image and minimum performance specifications of 1400-2000 FOM, 22 SNR, and 64 resolution.
