The InfiRay Outdoor RICO Hybrid HYL50W 50mm 384 is the latest addition to the versatile Hybrid series of thermal weapon sights.  The Hybrid merges the capabilities of a dedicated thermal weapon sight with a clip-on thermal device to create a new hybrid thermal system. 

The HYL50W features a 384x288, 17 μm, <25mK InfiRay Micro II thermal sensor, a high-quality 50mm f/1.0 Germanium objective lens, and a massive 1.03” 2560x1920 HD AMOLED display to provide excellent image quality.  These components give the HYL50W a 3x native (base) magnification with digital zoom of 3-24x, making this is a very versatile optic. 

A key feature of the HYL50W is it is the first thermal optic to provide a 90 Hz refresh rate which allows for exceptionally smooth viewing of fast-moving targets.  It can also operate in a 50 Hz mode for extended battery life. 

The RICO Hybrid’s low-distortion orthoscopic eyepiece paired with a 1.03” 2560x1920 UHD AMOLED display allows for an extremely large sight picture with unmatched edge to edge clarity.  This allows the optic to provide very comfortable viewing as a dedicated scope, but still maintains the pixel density and resolution required of the display for use as a clip-on optic. 

Other notable features include recoil-activated video, onboard recording, 4-button advanced controls, recoil mitigating picatinny rail mount, adjustable objective focus, WiFi, and IBP-1H battery compatibility for long battery life.  Additionally, it can be powered externally via USB-C connection and is compatible with the InfiRay Outdoor iOS and Android app.  A Bluetooth remote is included and can be mounted on a tripod for easier control.

The RICO Hybrid is compatible with the ILR-1000-2 Laser Rangefinder, as well as supports ballistic calculation via a user-uploaded .xlsx file. Calculate your ballistics with your preferred software, then export and upload your trajectory in 5 meter or yard increments. Once you have a ballistic profile loaded, plug in the ILR-1000-2 laser rangefinder and the HYBRID can calculate your drop and display a second reticle in split second.
