The DJI Zenmuse L3 is a next-generation aerial LiDAR payload designed for high-precision mapping, surveying, and infrastructure inspection when used with DJI enterprise drone platforms. Built for demanding geospatial applications, the Zenmuse L3 integrates a powerful long-range LiDAR system, high-resolution RGB imaging, and a high-accuracy positioning system into a single stabilized payload.

At the core of the Zenmuse L3 is a 1535 nm LiDAR scanner capable of detecting targets up to approximately 950 meters, even on low-reflectivity surfaces. The system supports adjustable pulse repetition rates and multiple return modes with up to 16 returns per pulse, allowing the sensor to penetrate vegetation and capture accurate terrain information beneath canopy layers.

Complementing the LiDAR sensor is a dual 100 MP RGB mapping camera system with a wide 107° field of view. These cameras capture high-resolution imagery that can be merged with LiDAR data to generate colorized point clouds, digital orthophoto maps, and detailed 3D models for professional mapping workflows.

The Zenmuse L3 also incorporates a high-precision POS (Position and Orientation System) that synchronizes GNSS and IMU data with LiDAR and imaging systems. This allows the payload to deliver centimeter-level mapping accuracy for professional surveying applications including construction monitoring, forestry mapping, utility corridor inspections, and environmental analysis.

When paired with compatible DJI enterprise aircraft, the Zenmuse L3 enables rapid collection of high-density point cloud data across large areas while maintaining survey-grade accuracy and efficient workflow integration with DJI Terra and other enterprise processing platforms.
