The DJI Matrice 400 is DJI’s latest flagship enterprise drone platform designed to deliver heavy-lift capability, extended endurance, and advanced multi-sensor integration for demanding industrial and public safety missions. Engineered for large-scale inspections, mapping, search and rescue, and infrastructure monitoring, the Matrice 400 combines long flight times, advanced obstacle sensing, and support for multiple professional payloads in a rugged enterprise airframe.

At the core of the Matrice 400 platform is a high-capacity power system built around DJI’s TB100 Intelligent Flight Batteries, delivering up to 59 minutes of flight time depending on payload configuration. The aircraft uses a dual-battery system with hot-swap capability, allowing batteries to be replaced without shutting down the aircraft, preserving satellite lock and reducing downtime between missions.

The Matrice 400 supports a wide range of professional DJI payloads including the Zenmuse H30/H30T hybrid cameras, Zenmuse L2 LiDAR system, and Zenmuse P1 photogrammetry camera, making it a highly adaptable aerial platform for surveying, inspection, and public safety operations. Its payload architecture allows operators to mount multiple sensors simultaneously for complex missions requiring thermal imaging, zoom inspection, mapping, and LiDAR data collection.

Advanced flight safety is provided through a comprehensive obstacle sensing system combining LiDAR, millimeter-wave radar, and multi-directional vision sensors. This system enables precise obstacle detection including power lines and small structures even in low-light environments, improving safety for infrastructure inspections and urban operations.

The Matrice 400 utilizes DJI’s O4 Enterprise transmission system, delivering stable long-range video transmission with multiple redundant channels to maintain reliable connectivity in challenging RF environments. The aircraft also integrates seamlessly with DJI’s enterprise software ecosystem including DJI Pilot 2, DJI Terra, and FlightHub 2, enabling automated flight planning, data collection, and fleet management.

This configuration includes the BS100 Intelligent Battery Station along with two TB100 Intelligent Flight Batteries, providing a complete power solution for enterprise operators. The BS100 station supports charging multiple batteries in sequence and can fully charge TB100 batteries in approximately 45 minutes in fast-charge mode, enabling rapid redeployment during extended operations.
